How Apple Pay Works: When you choose Apple Pay at checkout, your payment information is transmitted using near-field communication (NFC) technology or through your device’s secure element. Your actual card number is never shared with the merchant or stored on Apple’s servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted, and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device.
Security Features: Apple Pay requires authentication using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode before any payment can be completed. Additionally, Apple Pay does not store transaction information that can be tied back to you, preserving your privacy.

Google Pay also allows you to remotely lock or wipe your device if it is lost or stolen, preventing unauthorized access to your payment information.

The Payment Process at VUTS LLC
Step 1: Selecting Your Payment Method
When you proceed to checkout on our website, you will be presented with payment method options. Select the method that works best for you based on your preferences and available payment instruments.

Step 5: Payment Settlement
After your order ships, the authorized transaction is settled, and the funds are transferred from your account to VUTS LLC. For most credit and debit cards, this settlement occurs within one to three business days of shipment.
Payment Security
Encryption Technology
All payment information transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology, the same standard used by banks and financial institutions worldwide. This encryption ensures that your payment information cannot be intercepted or read by unauthorized third parties during transmission.
Tokenization
When you save payment information for future purchases (if you choose to do so), Stripe replaces your actual card number with a unique digital token. This token can be used for future transactions but cannot be reverse-engineered to reveal your actual card number. Even if our systems were compromised, your payment information would remain protected.
Address Verification Service
Stripe uses Address Verification Service (AVS) to compare the billing address you provide with the address on file with your card issuer. Mismatches may result in transaction declines, protecting you from unauthorized use of your card.
CVV Verification
All credit and debit card transactions require the CVV/CVC security code, which is not stored after the transaction is complete. This requirement ensures that someone who has your card number but not the physical card cannot complete a transaction.
3D Secure Authentication
For certain transactions, Stripe may require additional authentication through 3D Secure (Verified by Visa, Mastercard SecureCode, American Express SafeKey). This authentication adds an extra layer of security by requiring you to verify your identity through your card issuer, typically via text message, email, or your banking app.
Refund and Chargeback Process
Refunds
When you return a product according to our Refund and Return Policy, we process refunds through Stripe. The refund is credited back to your original payment method. For credit and debit card refunds, the funds typically appear on your statement within three to ten business days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.
For Apple Pay and Google Pay refunds, the funds are returned to the same digital wallet and card used for the original purchase. You do not need to take any additional action to receive your refund.
Chargebacks
If you believe a transaction on your statement is unauthorized or incorrect, you have the right to dispute the charge with your card issuer. This process is called a chargeback. Many issues can be resolved more quickly through direct communication than through the chargeback process.
If you initiate a chargeback, Stripe will notify us, and we will have the opportunity to respond with evidence that the transaction was legitimate and authorized. The card issuer makes the final determination based on the evidence provided by both parties.

If you are an international customer paying with a card denominated in another currency, your card issuer will convert the transaction amount using their current exchange rate. The converted amount appearing on your statement may differ slightly from the USD amount due to exchange rate fluctuations and any foreign transaction fees your card issuer may apply.
Sales Tax
VUTS LLC collects sales tax on orders shipped to addresses within the United States as required by applicable laws. The tax amount is calculated based on the shipping address and the tax rates in effect at that location. Sales tax is displayed at checkout before you complete your payment.
For international orders, you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or other fees imposed by your country. These fees are not collected by VUTS LLC and are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost.
